Paul is a hardcore techie with over 6 years of experience in .NET, VB, C++, TensorFlow, Golang, and Python programming. He focuses exclusively on database architecture, querying and Artificial Intelligence (AI). His works thus far include neural networks, General Adversarial Networks (GANs), Computer Vision and various applications in Natural Language Processing. Paul has worked with the MS SQL aServer, SQLite, MySQL, Maria DB, MongoDB, Apache Hadoop and Oracle databases, as well as with Google, Microsoft, Intel, GPT3, OpenCV and NVIDIA AI tools.
At Equinox we believe that AI is there as a force for good. We are not naive enough to think that AI doesn’t have negative consequences too, but when the choice is between inaction or action, we choose action. We are working with some of the best minds in the world to ensure this happens in a responsible way. We also believe AI will play an increasingly important role in future work settings and education systems. At Equinox, we don’t just use AI as a tool to improve our service offering. We use it as a tool to help us be better consultants, better educators and more productive humans, as well as to improve our clients’ workflows, procedures and businesses. We are highly passionate about using our skills to create value for society while having fun at work. We want to ameliorate lives through our technologies and build a company that can have an impact on the world.
Paul has the breadth and depth of experience needed to quickly understand clients‘ AI requirements and implement them cost–effectively. He is as precise as he is clear in his thoughts. As AI becomes more prevalent in business, the costs of building and maintaining AI applications are decreasing, while cost–savings from AI implementations are increasing dramatically. This allows companies to take full advantage of AI to augment and scale up human knowledge and capabilities.
Paul is well–positioned to help businesses take advantage of these trends and developments. He has spent the best part of the last decade working on AI–based software and transformations for a variety of organisations, including governments, financial services institutions, as well as the manufacturing, logistics and healthcare sectors. He was also highly involved in product development for a leading enterprise search tool and was the co–author of an AI tool that assesses skin cancer risks on the basis of photos uploaded by end-users.
Paul‘s work with clients has included building proofs–of–concept at a variety of levels, from deep research with key individuals and business units to implementations of the same proofs-of-concept or to client-specific Terms of Reference.
